2008 was Priyanka Chopra's year with hits like Fashion and Dostana. 2009 however seems to be more of Kareena Kapoor's year with the number of releases she has lined up. Here's taking a head to head look at both of them.



Movies: Priyanka Chopra has Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminay and Ashutosh Gowariker's 'What's Your Rashee?' with Shahid Kapoor and Harman Baweja respectively. They may be good films but aren't exactly big budget blockbusters. Kareena Kapoor, on the other hand, may have missed both Fashion and Dostana last year, but this year she has, Sajid Nadiadwala's big budget entertainer Kambakht Ishq with Akshay Kumar and Sylvester Stallone, Dharma Productions' Jihaad with Saif Ali Khan, Main aur Mrs. Khanna with Salman Khan and Raju Hirani's 3 Idiots with Aamir Khan, which are all highly anticipated films. So Priyanka has 2 confirmed releases while Bebo has 4.



Who wore the Saree Better? The answer is Kareena. Not only is her bright yellow saree more attractive than Priyanka Chopra's beige one but it is also the attitude, Kareena Kapoor appears very confident while Priyanka Chopra seems a little shy and demure.


Who wore the Dress Better? This is a little hard to decide. Kareena's dress flatters her figure better than Priyanka's does. Bebo's dress is conservative while Priyanka's short number is edgier. Priyanka's legs are slimmer than Bebo's and therefore there is a difference in the sandals as well.

Prettier Face? For those who like their women dusky and smouldering, it is Priyanka Chopra's Indian beauty with her bow-shaped lips and dusky complexion. Bebo, on the other hand has a very international appeal. With full lips, a perfect nose, high cheekbones, porcelain complexion, and enchanting green eyes, she is a picture of perfection and a classical beauty.


Better Body: Priyanka Chopra likes it black while Bebo likes it white. Priyanka Chopra in her figure flattering black gown is a lot sexier than slim Bebo in her white gown. Bebo is elegant and slim while Piggy Chops is sensual and voluptuous. Abbas-Mustaan's Race, produced by Tips, turned out to be one of 2008's biggest grossers. The film garnered appreciation not just from critics but also the masses so much so, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor and Tips are already planning a sequel to it but this time the previous heroines (Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu) won't be there. Saif's girlfriend Kareena has replaced Katrina in Race 2.

Casting change

Ramesh Taurani from Tips says, "Yes, we are already working on the script of Race 2. We were thrilled with Race's success. Theatrically and overseas, it grossed Rs 120 crore and was one of the blockbusters of 2008; that's why we are planning a sequel to it.

Abbas-Mustaan will direct the sequel while Saif and Anil will be retained. We are also going in for new casting with the sequel. Kareena Kapoor will act in Race 2 opposite Saif. In Race, the story will be different while some of the characters will remain the same."

Slicker and sexier

Saif Ali Khan adds, "I am very excited to be part of the Race sequel. I have been offered many sequels but there are only certain films which merit a sequel Race is one of them.

We aim to make Race 2 better than the original. It will be slicker, faster, sexier, more thrilling and upgraded in a much bigger way from Race."

Polishing things up

He continues, "Right now, Race 2 is in the scripting stage we need to polish up a few things. There were some glitches in Race, which we plan to smoothen out in R2. If everything works out well, Abbas- Mustaan will be directing the sequel.

I'm also looking forward to Kareena being a part of the film. We need a very glamorous actress to play the role and Kareena fits the bill best on the glam quotient. We will also be shooting in exotic locations like Barbados and all over the world."

Katrina Kaif - were bounced back from the nightclub

Currently, Katrina Kaif and John Abraham are in US shooting for director Kabir Khan’s film ‘New York’. It so happened that during the shoot, one of the crew members threw a party at a nightclub and invited Katrina kaif, John and the director to the party. However, when John and Katrina, along with Kabir Khan, got to the club, they were denied entry because they were reportedly not carrying proper identification proofs. They even told the bouncers that they were known stars from India, but the argument apparently cut no ice with the American bouncers.

So, while everyone else were partying hard inside, John and Katrina kaif found themselves bounced out of the nightclub. They even drove back to their hotel and returned with ID proofs. But it was too late by then and the party had already died down.

Katrina Kaif Replaces Aishwarya Rai

After dethroning Aishwarya Rai from the numero uno position in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif is fast emerging as a threat to her in the brand endorsement circuit as well. The hot actress recently replaced Aishwarya to become the new brand ambassador of a prominent diamond jewellery brand.

Known for her sensuality as well as her feminine charm, Katrina kaif reveals why she chose to endorse the brand. "Be it a skin, hair or a jewellery product, I am very selective about the brands I endorse. I undertake extensive research on the company and try to ensure that the brand delivers on its promises made to the user of the product," proclaims a beaming Katrina Kaif.

Looking graceful in a white gown and bedecked with exquisite diamond jewellery, Katrina also shed light on her much appreciated on-screen chemistry with Akshay Kumar. "He's really hard working and has boundless energy. These traits are really inspirational and on top of that he's an absolutely wonderful person to work with," says the Welcome girl.

Katrina Praises Akshay; Avoids a Question on Salman



Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif was happily promoting a jewelry brand, when she was asked about her on-screen pair with Akshay Kumar. Katrina left everything behind and gushed about Khiladi Akshay.

Katrina revealed how right from her first film with Akshay, she received a lot of compliments from people about her pairing with the Bollywood Khiladi. "Akshay is a wonderful person to work with and his energy and dedication is amazing. Therefore, he has been a huge inspiration for me," said Race star, adding she has done many films with Akki and shares a great rapport with him.

When asked for her take on her lookalike's promotion by her beau Salman Khan, however, Katrina brushed-off the question by just saying, "That is so sweet of him." Only Katrina knows the reason for her avoiding that question.

Katrina Kaif will next be seen in Yash Raj Films' New York along with John Abraham and Neil Mukesh. The film is based on the 9/11 attacks.

Movie Story

Riya Sen - to be in Hong Kong for Christmas

Riya Sen makes her presence felt in Istanbul

Sexy Bong beauty Riya Sen has been chosen as the brand ambassador of IPL website owing to which she is supposed to attend at least five IPL matches, interact with cricketers and then post her views about the game and players on the website.

If that was not enough, Riya was spotted sporting another sport in Turkey to cheer Vijay Mallya’s Force India Formula One team in Turkish Grand Prix. Being Mallya’s guest she accompanied him during the qualifying round and also the main race. If the array of lovely ladies from Kingfisher Speed Divas was not enough, Riya too joined Mallya as he walked the pitlane. Unfortunately Mallya’s Formula One driver Adrian Sutil came at the eighteenth spot.

Later, Riya went to a nightclub with Adrian and partied till the wee hours of the morning last Sunday. Not to mention the onlookers at Mallya’s yatch too were more than just happy to have this sexy nubile thing among them.
